Halloween n Fall listings!

It has been a long time since my last listing on Ebay, but I am giving it another try. I listed 3 items and have a 4th, but not sure how to package a painting! If anyone has any tips for me I would love to hear them! Here are the pics and I will include my link to ebay at the end.

Satellite Dish Gazebo!

I had ran across a blog a while back that had a pic of an old satellite dish used as the roof of a gazebo! Well I have been on the hunt for one and finally found one on Craigslist! It has been in our yard waiting patiently to be transformed! Well that day finally came! I started painting and my hubby started digging the holes for the poles! Still need more white paint, but it is a start! We are going to put a concrete floor and banisters all around as well as benches! I am so excited! It is close to where we laid our sweet Maverick to rest.
Here are some pics. I look awful, but I was off and didn't want to put on make up to do yard work! LOL

On another note, I just had my 6 month check up and it didn't go too well. I got sick during the CT scan. My youngest daughter went with me. I don't know how I drove home that day. I had such a terrible headache to boot too. I think it was from not having my morning coffee. I had my tests done on the 15th and find out the results on the 27th. What a busy summer! I ma sorry so long in between posts!
Our middle son got married. We gained an awesome daughter! They were actually on the cover of a small town magazine!

We took the kids to Six Flags and visited my SIL

I did 5 Pay it forwards! So I have done a lil bit of crafting.

I am currently working on some Halloween stuff. Just so hard to get into crafting lately. It has been so hot! Texas has been having the worst drought since the 50's! I am so ready for some of the rain that our New England neighbors are getting. At this point I would be looking forward to a hurricane! Our poor pond is down at least 5-6ft! It is usually the kids local hang out. But since it has been so low, I don't want the kids swimming in it. We did get a few scattered showers this week and saw an amazing rainbow!
Here is a pic my daughter took. God is an amazing artist! :)

Work has been taking up a lot of my time as well. I got a promotion and do all kinds of stuff now. I really love my job and the people I work with. It keeps me busy.
If you don't have a Facebook you don't know what your missing. I have found so many friends from school as well as tons of fellow artists. I am a bit consumed by it! Right now my current addiction is Frontier ville. A game on FB. If you do have a FB feel free to add me.

Now on the the not so great news. Aug 15th was my birthday. I had planned a giveaway, but we had a tragedy. Our horse Maverick got sick, real sick. Paint horses have a genetic problem I didn't know about. Has something to do with their intestines. He was down on his side and we thought it was colic. I ran to get mineral oil and he ran to the vet for some pain meds to help relive him. Well we finally got him up and walking but something still wasn't right. He felt cold to the touch and wasn't acting right. We ended up calling our vet out to check him. She pulled us over to the side away from our kids and said he needed surgery which would be at the minimum $7500 with no guarantee. So with heavy heart we decided to end his pain. I ran to the house crying. I couldn't be out there. I think half our neighborhood came out that night. I cried myself to sleep. A neighbor brought his tractor down to help with the burial. If you have never had a horse, you will know how painful this is. He had the bluest eyes that were so human like. And a personality to match. He would drink tea out of our cups, eat ice cubes, drink beer. He was a real goober. I am going to miss him so much. I felt like a balloon and someone just stuck a needle in me. This was my hubby's horse. They had a bond like no other, everyone knew it too. He was gentle giant that would lick you like a puppy. I am going to miss him for eternity.

Gone to the Dogs! and another 6 month check up! n freebie shhhh!

Good morning fellow bloggers! I wanted to pop in and let you know what has been going on with me. Last week I went for another 6 week check up at MD Anderson, all day testing. Ughhh! Well tomorrow I find out the results. Please keep me in your thoughts and prayers if ya could! They always stress me out. My youngest daughter went with me for the tests and my hubby will go with me in the morning for the results.

I have also been working on some new pieces! I have 2 Maltese dogs and some boxers and a schnauzer! I thought I had posted pics of the boxer and schnauzer, but couldn't find a post! So here they are now! They are still works in progress! In fact I will be working on them today! My middle daughter suggested I do more animals because she thinks they are so cute. So she is my lil advisor! LOL I hope to get these finished today!

Good evening blogging friends! Lots has been going on here! We just celebrated our 17yr anniversary! We went bowling with our girls! Had a blast!
I managed to get these 3 cuties finished in between family time and work! If your interested in them, let me know. Make an offer! Otherwise I will be putting them up on Ebay.
I have to work early tomorrow, then I will be off for 3 days! YES I said 3 days!!! Gosh how I miss being a stay at home mom! Though I do love my co-workers! It is the getting ready and driving to work I don't like! LOL Speaking of work we just had our Christmas party yesterday! We always wait till Jan. to have it because it is too busy to do it during the holidays! We had it at a friend of ours' restraunt Mo's BBQ. Needless to say the food was awsome! My middle daughter went with me as my date! LOL

Meet Clementine Valentine Pug!

After a long absence from my studio I finally got back in the groove! :) I had 2 days off in a row and took full advantage of it! This is Clementine Valentine Pug!
Her facial wrinkles are individually stuffed making her face 3 dementional. She has a lil curly Q tail poking through her skirt! She stands on her own wood base painted pink and red for Valentine's day! She will be going up on Ebay this Sunday! So be sure to check back!

New Years 2011 Special quilt!

I know I am late posting but I was having fun with some out of town guest! My hubby's bff since 4th grade and his wife came up with their RV. My MIL came up too. We had a bunch of kids over and had a blast. We cleared out the living room, decorated it and hung a disco ball!
The best part of New Years was when my hubby's friends wife and I were talking and I was showing her my antique quilts. I was telling her that I wasn't lucky enough to have a grandma to have made me one. That all of mine have been bought. I just love them even the tattered ones. Next thing I know she disappeared. She walked back in with a quilt in her hand. It was so pretty! She said her grandmother made it. How awsome! Next thing I know she is telling me it is mine! I was like NO!!! You can't give me your grandmothers quilt! But she kept insisting and said she would give it to my hubby! (he loves quilts too!) I just cried!!! I love her to death!
Here is how I display my quilts. I use an old ladder and hang them on the rungs. The red one is the one she gave me! There is also a pic of me and her! I am on the right and she is on the left.

Hello fella bloggers! I know I have been bad about posting, but with the holidays I think I am at work more than home!
I have so much to be thankful for! I have beat Cancer! That is at the top of my list! My family, friends and internet friends and of course God! With out Him all this wouldn't be possible!
This year has gone so by fast! Makes my head spin!
Sorry I haven't had any new patterns or finished goods for you. Hopefully after the holidays I will get more time off!

Antique Church Duck house!

Good morning! I am off for 3 days!!! I hope to get lots of sewing done! I have been working on my 28 ornies for the Primmart swap. I have 2 more to stitch, then stain! The the fun part... adding the facial features and dressing!
This past weekend I mentioned to my hubby that our lil duckies (13 of them) need some place warm to sleep for the winter. This is what he came up with!!! An antique Church!!! We still have a lil bit left to do to it. I have been looking for some old tin for the roof, and I would like to white wash it as well! I think he did a great job on it! Our lil duckies are going to be so happy!!! :)
Well back to work!!!

Good morning! It has been a while since my last listing. Hope you didn't give up on me! This is my doll Hope, for breast cancer awareness! I was invited to participate in a doll challenge for Breast Cancer awareness. This is my version of the pattern.
I had a friend pass away recently from breast cancer, so I really wanted to participate for a great cause. All proceeds will be going to BC.
I hope to get more listed soon. I have been working so many hours at work that I just am stretched thin. Good news is I will be getting 3 days off in a row at the end of this week!!! So I will be busting booty to get so new goodies up on ebay!

6 Month test results!!!

Good evening!!! I just wanted to pop on here and let you know that I had another milestone! My 6 month check up!!! Everything went great! All my tests came back good!!! What a relief!!! I panic every time and worry until I get my results back!
I also got to meet my new Dr. He had a sense of humor! I like that! I still miss Dr. Pro, but at least there is a nice dr. to replace her!
Our ritual for the test results is my hubby always goes. I don't ever want to go by myself for those. And we always get a cappuccino macchiato. Here is a pic of us right before we got the news.

So I am good for another 6 months!!! Woo hoo! :)

6 month check up 9-2-10

Hello! If you are reading this I appreciate you coming by!
Tomorrow is another milestone, my 6 month check up. It will be all day "violations" as I like to call it and drinking yucky stuff. I have a new dr since my dr moved to Pa. to practice there. I will be meeting the new dr. next week.
So much has been going on lately. A friend of mine Kat died last week of breast cancer. She was a primmart friend, and I actually met her at the convention. She was a sweet person. Because of that and my mom's bday was the day before she died (and my mom died of cancer in 93) it has just sent me into paranoid mode. I just want to get this day over with.
I haven't felt like crafting lately. I had listed some dolls on ebay and they didn't sell, so I wonder why bother? Well it is what I love to do! I feel like part of me is dieing when I don't create. It is who I am! Plus it keeps me sane, if you want to call me that lol! Most people just call me Nutt!
I signed up for the Primmart ornie swap and didn't have any idea what I was going to make, but I signed up anyway. Well I think that was the kick in the butt I needed! With a dead line it makes me focus on the finish line. Today I sat down and drew out a pattern! I stuffed my 1st one! We aren't allowed to show pics until all the ornies are delivered or I would share pics here! I hope they turn out like I hope!
Sorry to rant! I have kept a lot bottled up and I feel better now! :)
If you could say a prayer for me I would appreciate it!!! I will update as soon as I find out anything!!!

ASPARAGAS Vs. CANCER!

Below is an email I received. This was not from my mom as she has already passed. Having had cancer and knowing how scary it is I thought I would pass on this info to others. Who knows someone may just benefit from it. I know I craved brocoli, avacadoes and blueberries and all 3 are cancer fighters as well!
It is worth a shot!

My Mom had been taking the full-stalk canned style
asparagus that she pureed and she took 4 tablespoons in
the morning and 4 tablespoons later in the day. She did
this for over a month. She is on chemo pills for Stage 3
lung cancer in the pleural area and her cancer count went from 386 down to 125 as of this past week.

Her oncologist said she does not need to see him for 3 months.

THE ARTICLE:
Several years ago, I had a man seeking asparagus for a
friend who had cancer. He gave me a photocopied copy of
an article, entitled, Asparagus for cancer 'printed in
Cancer News Journal, December 1979. I will share it
here, just as it was shared with me: I am a biochemist,
and have specialized in the relation of diet to health
for over 50 years. Several years ago, I learned of the
discovery of Richard R. Vensal, D.D.S. that asparagus
might cure cancer. Since then, I have worked with him on
his project. We have accumulated a number of favorable
case histories. Here are a few examples:

Case No. 1,

A man with an almost hopeless case of Hodgkin's disease (cancer of the lymph glands) who was completely incapacitated. Within 1 year of starting asparagus therapy, his doctors were unable to detect any signs of cancer, and he was back on a schedule of strenuous exercise.

Case No. 2,

a successful businessman 68 years old who suffered from cancer of the bladder for 16 years. Afte years of medical treatments, including radiation without
improvement, he went on asparagus. Within 3 months,
examinations revealed that his bladder tumor had
disappeared and that his kidneys were normal.

Case No. 3,

a man who had lung cancer. On March 5th 1971, he was put on the operating table where they found lung cancer so widely spread that it was inoperable. The surgeon sewed him up and declared his case hopeless. On April 5th he heard about the Asparagus therapy and immediately started taking it By August, x-ray revealed that all signs of the cancer had disappeared..He is back at his regular business routine.

Case No. 4, a woman who was troubled for a number of
years with skin cancer. She finally developed different
skin cancers which were diagnosed by the acting
specialist as advanced. Within 3 months after starting
on asparagus, her skin specialist said that her skin

looked fine and no more skin lesions. This woman
reported that the asparagus therapy also cured her
kidney disease, which started in 1949. She had over 10
operations for kidney stones, and was receiving
government disability payments for an inoperable,
terminal, kidney condition. She attributes the cure of
this kidney trouble entirely to the asparagus.

I was not surprised at this result, as `The elements of
material medica', edited in 1854 by a Professor at the
University of Pennsylvania , stated that asparagus was
used as a popular remedy for kidney stones. He even
referred to experiments, in 1739, on the power of
asparagus in dissolving stones. Note the dates!
We would have other case histories but the medical
establishment has interfered with our obtaining some of
the records. I am therefore appealing to readers to
spread this good news and help us to gather a large
number of case histories that will overwhelm the medical
skeptics about this unbelievably simple and natural remedy.

For the treatment, asparagus should be cooked before
using, and therefore canned asparagus is just as good as
fresh. I have corresponded with the two leading canners
of asparagus, Giant and Stokely, and I am satisfied that
these brands contain no pesticides or preservatives.
Place the cooked asparagus in a blender and liquefy to
make a puree, and store in the refrigerator. Give the
patient 4 full tablespoons twice daily, morning and
evening. Patients usually show some improvement in from
2-4 weeks. It can be diluted with water and used as a
cold or hot drink. This suggested dosage is based on
present experience, but certainly larger amounts can do
no harm and may be needed in some cases. As a biochemist
I am convinced of the old saying that `what cures can
prevent.' Based on this theory, my wife and I have been
using asparagus puree as a beverage with our meals. We
take 2 tablespoons diluted in water to suit our taste
with breakfast and with dinner. I take mine hot and my
wife prefers hers cold. For years we have made it a
practice to have blood surveys taken as part of our
regular checkups. The last blood survey, taken by a
medical doctor who specializes in the nutritional
approach to health, showed substantial improvements in
all categories over the last one, and we can attribute
these improvements to nothing but the asparagus drink.
As a biochemist, I have made an extensive study of all
aspects of cancer, and all of the proposed cures. As a
result, I am convinced that asparagus fits in better
with the latest theories about cancer.

Asparagus contains a good supply of protein called
histones, which are believed to be active in controlling
cell growth.. For that reason, I believe asparagus can
be said to contain a substance that I call cell growth
normalizer. That accounts for its action on cancer and
in acting as a general body tonic. In any event,
regardless of theory, asparagus used as we suggest, is a
harmless substance. The FDA cannot prevent you from
using it and it may do you much good. It has been
reported by the US National Cancer Institute, that
asparagus is the highest tested food containing
glutathione, which is considered one of the body's most
potent anticarcinogens and antioxidants.

I am really loving making the stand up mounted dolls! I have more ideas I am throwing around. Just have to find more time to sit down at the drawing board!!!
And to think my 1st batch of these I nearly threw out! I am so glad I didn't because they all have new homes!

Surgery + Time off = New dolls! :)

I had surgery Monday. They removed my left ovary, tube, and a cyst. They still have to wait for the results as to what exactly it is.
In the mean time, I got the week off from work! So I have been taking advantage of my time! I finished up a bunch of new dolls! Here is a sneek peek!

This is what my hubby and I have been working on! The kids are going to have so much fun this summer! We are going to have our own water park in our own back yard! LOL
We have an island in the middle with 2 large oak trees on it and a bridge that goes across. We are building a gazebo over the water. The kids can get in their tubes and circle the island! Now we have a rope swing they can swing out! We still need to get an ariator for the back of the pond. We love the water tower! (my hubby made it!)It ciculates the water and sounds so nice! My hubby also finally got our swing up! OMG! I love sitting out there and listening to nature! It is so calming! We are working on a waterfall as well not only for looks but to circulate the water as well!

I have missed sewing more than I can tell ya! Now that I work outside the home, there just isn't enough of "Me" to go around! We have been working on our pond on my off days so that has been taking time away from my me time as well!
I had made this 3D doll a while back, but wasn't satisfied with the frame. It needed something more. Well I finally figured out what it needed! Some rusty stars paint and staining! LOL The only problem I am having is how to ship her? Any tips or suggestions would be appreciated! If anyone ever ships paintings and knows how to package them PLEASE email me or post! TY! :)

Last week my hubby took me junking! We hit a couple of antique shops. OMGosh! I had such a blast! Below are some pics of my scores! Most of my stuff is put in storage until we can make room for it all. Some will be going into what will be our party room eventually. Still have to build it! lol
It was so much fun to get out and do some "pickin"! I just love that show "American Pickers!" That would be my Dream job!
Oh and I finally found some glass knobs at a price I was willing to pay!!! Woo hoo!

In Jan. my dear friend lost her hubby. He was only 41. They still don't know what happened to him. He was at work when it happened.

Then Penny lost her battle with leukemia. She is a fella crafter. I never met her, but you could tell she was just a bubbly person to be around and so talented and loved by so many.

Another Primmart sister Retha was found dead murdered by her husband. I can't even begin to tell you how much hate I have for that beast. I hope he gets what is coming to him.

Then last but not least my cousin finally met her sould mate. They had only been married 2 yrs and had a set of twins (who just turned 1 in Feb). Well she just lost him due to an anurism. He died on my oldest daughter's bday and was buried on the anniversay of my mom's death. Mar 29.

Another cancer check up and GRADUATED!

Hello out there in blog land! I haven't forgotten you! I just have been insanely busy!
I had another cancer check up, pet scans, ct scans had to drink that nasty stuff, but good news! I am still cancer free! Another bit of good news was that I graduated from going every 4 months to every 6 months!!! That is only TWICE a YEAR!!! Woo hoo!!!
The sad news is our Houston MD Anderson is losing a dr. Yep, mine! She and her hubby (who is also a dr.) are relocating to Pa. I cried 3 times before I left that day. I know I won't ever see her again. She got me through the cancer and now she is leaving me! She told me I didn't need her any more, that others need her in Pa. I guess she is right, but a lil selfish part of me wants to keep her here! I wish her the best of luck. She is awsome!

We had plans this morning to go see the movie Valentine's day, but my middle daughter and hubby decided against going. Ya see 2 years ago today I found out that I had cancer. We were out at the mall going to see a movie with our girls and found out the news. Since then my hubby hates Valentine's day. Just too many bad memories. So instead today we did something else! We planted 8 fruit trees! I have been wanting some FOREVER! Still have lots more I would like to get and some nut trees as well! We also got some grape vines, but haven't decided exactly where to put those yet.

Well to me anyway! I am a member of Primmart and have been in 6 or 7 ornament swaps! I just love them! So much love has gone into each ornie! I probably have at least 300! This is a 9' tree and it is packed! I found the jingle bell garland at Kohls! Well I just wanted to pop in and say hi! It has been crazy busy here and working lots of hours!

Still Cancer free!!!

I wanted to check in real quick and let everyone know that has been following my blog! I went for my check up again with MD Anderson and I am still cancer free! For those that don't know, I had a rare Lymphoma. I was diagnosed in March of 08. My last treatment was June of 08.
Also for some sad news our sweet cat Stubby died yesterday. She was OLD! I know she had to be at least 25yrs old! She lived a good life! We inherited her from a friend of my hubby's who passed away quite suddenly. So we had her with us for a few years. Going to miss that cat! She was completely deaf and born with a partial tail. Hence the name Stubby! Good bye my sweet friend!

Remember the farmhouse sink I told yall about? Well with a few modifications to our existing countertop he was able to install it! This has been finished for a while now, but just now posting here! :)
He replaced the hardware and added a new faucet. I love how it isn't perfect! All chippy n worn! Shows character!

Since my last post! I have had lots going on like most people this time of the year! I was in an ornie swap with 28 people, so I finally got those done and mailed out! I can't wait to post a pic of them! We have to wait till everyone gets their boxes to post pics!
We have had lots of rain here in Texas so I am happy to say that our pond if FULL!!! We lost about 14+ trees from the dirt washing out from around the roots and they fell in the pond. Luckily the guy that dug our pond was nice enough to come back over and pull all of the out but one! Woo hoo! We didn't expect it to be full until next year because some parts are 21ft deep! We have so many plans to add to our pond! We can't wait!
The other news is we finally after all these years got a horse!!! OMG! I can't tell you how bad we have been wanting one! We did everything backwards!!! LOL We had no barn, fence or trailor! I found him on craigslist (just love that site!) for an awsome buy! He is HUGE! As soon as I showed him to my hubby he wanted to call about him. I was like "honey, we have no fence or barn!" He said we can just go look, which I knew what would happen! LOL So withing 45 minutes of seeing the ad we were standing in front of this gorgeous horse! He has blue eyes too! Fell in love! So we bought him! We were able to leave him there for about a week n 1/2 while hubby built a fence! We borrowed a trailor and our boy was home! I just love the horsey smell! We have partial of the barn done, I am going to post lots of pics to follow! So here we go!

Here are the pics of our pond! The boards in the middle are eventually be a gazebo. The poles are 16ft, just to give you an idea of how deep it is! :)

This is a water tank hubby made for me! I just love it! It pumps out water too!

Coi Pond waterfall

This is an updated pic of our coi pond. Hubby has been working on the waterfall for it. It is still a work in progress! He is still playing with it! Right now it has probably 150 fish in it! They are babies, but there are catfish, sun perch, 1 gar looking fish, and I think 1 bass. My girls rescued them from the big pond when they were digging it deeper. Now that it is done and filling up nicely, I think it is time for them to be transfered back to their new home! I need to upload the pics of what the pond looks like now!

OMGosh! I have wanted one of these for a long time, but they have always been out of my price range. Just for fun one day, I was on ebay and did a search.... and found this one! Right here in Tx! It was only about an hour and 1/2 away from us! And get this... only $99! OMG!!! I just knew someone was going to snatch it away last minute! But no one did! Hubby went and picked it up for me while I was at work! See the cute fence behind it? Hubby made that out of some old poles that were left here on the property and bought a couple of landscape timbers and concrete. So this project only cost a lil under $10! woo hoo! Hubby added the skull and rope!

I can't remember if I shared these pics with ya or not, but here goes! My hubby made this water pump a working waterfountain! I LOVE it!!! He used an old water hose and spray painted it black to match and a galvanized bucket some rocks and a pump!

And look who came to visit us!!! This is just a wild duck that literally flew in our yard while my hubby was outside!

Looks like he really likes his new "pond"! LOL We haven't seen him again since this day. He stayed all day! Even as we walked in and out of the house! We miss him!

Hello all! It has been a while since my last post! Besides working outside the home, I have been sewing up a storm! I still have lots to finish still! It felt so good to be back in my mojo! I hope you haven't given up on me! Earlier this summer I made some minis, then my sweet dog Mya passed away. I was devastated. So I never listed them. Well now I have them up as well as 3 gingerbreads! I hope you have time to take a peek!
I have lots of other stuff to share with you! Just have to take some pics! My hubby made this awsome decorative fence to put behind our antique hay rake he bought me for my bday! Plus I found an antique church pew on craigslist! Will have to take a pic and post it for ya too!
I celebrated my bday on Aug 15th. Normally I don't get excited about them, but after my cancer scare, I am happy to have another one. I feel so blessed. I am the happiest I have been ever. Each day I wake up and thank God for my life, family and friends and MD Anderson that got me through last year! I love our new home! Every lil change we make to it, just makes it more ours! The constuction of our pond is done. We are just waiting for mother nature to fill it up for us! It will probably take forever! It is huge! Yes, I know, more pics! LOL My hubby is also working on our decorative pond in the front. He is making the waterfall for it. He is off work for a month due to a foot injury. He is in a boot, but it isn't slowing him down!
Oh this morning we had a visitor! We have a bucket with water in it on the side of our house. A wild malard duck came to swim in it! I have pics, just have to upload them and post! I have to work today, so I have to get ready.

4 month check up! And GOOD NEWS!

Hi all! I know it has been a while since my last post, but lots of stuff going on lately. I went for my 4 month check up and today I got the results back... NO CANCER! I am just so excited! I wanted to run out of that hospital! So I don't have to go back for 4 months!
School will be starting in 2 weeks and we have been so busy working that we haven't had time to take a family vacation. So I requested off for the past 2 weekends and we have been having fun!
They have been talking about "Stay-cations" on the radio because of the times and $$$. You just do things locally instead of traveling to different states. So I looked online and found Houston City Passes. You get 6 attractions for $39 plus $1 processing fee per person. They were good until Oct, but once you use the 1st attaction it starts your 9 day period to use them all.
The attractions were Space Center Houston, Downtown Aquarium, Hou. Museum of Natural Science, Houston zoo, Museum of fine arts or Children' museum, George Ranch park or Health museum.
Well we only were able to do the zoo, space center, museum of natural science, and aquarium, but we did have fun!

I will upload pics in the morning! I am so tired! Hope everyone is having a great week! :)

Sorry for my absense

I had to take a break from blogging. Every time I came to post a new post I would see my last post about Mya and break down crying. So here I am today pushing forward. I have had lots going on in my life. My dad passed away on the 15th of cancer, but don't be too sad for him. He did some not so nice things to my daughters and even hit my grandmother the day they took him to the hospice. I hate that side of him, but miss the funny charming guy that I knew, before the truth was known. I will leave it at that. I have cried my eyes out.
Good is always out there and there was good that came of this too! I have know for some time now that I had a 1/2 sister named Kaitlin that was not much older than my own daughter Katelynn. I asked family members about her and they wouldn't tell me the mom's name or give any info for fear of my dad's temper. He didn't want any of us to have anything to do with her. And that's not all! I have a 1/2 brother Jeffrey, same story. No one was allowed to have any contact with his mom. He is only 12 yrs old! Well my aunt (dads sister) gave me the missing links I needed! She had found both moms on facebook! I contacted both not knowing what kind of response I was going to get! OMG! Dale (Kaitlins mom) is such a sweetheart! And Jackie I have met years back and she is a sweety too! Just when I thought my family was getting smaller... Poof it just got larger! lol Here are some pics of my new family!

Hi blogging friends. Wen. morning I posted pics of my minis I created, and was off to work. It has been sooo dry and hot here with temps in the 100's. We don't leave our fur babies outside too long, they stay inside mostly. Well, Mya was outside and I think she had a heat stroke. I got home that evening around 5:30 or 6pm to find her in the house drooling and panting. My hubby had the fan on her, but it didn't help. I am not sure if she may have had a heat stroke or her cancer returned. I sat there and pet her and scratched her butt. She looked up at me with those human like eyes and I knew she was going to leave me. She died in my arms. I have just been devastated. She was my popcorn, as she used to bounce around when she got excited. Just a silly girl. I will forever miss her. She took with her a huge piece of my heart. I still can't believe she is gone. Sometimes I can still hear her snore.

OMG!!! She is out! If your not sure what I am talking about... let me do a short re-cap! Last year I was diagnosed with cancer... the same day we signed papers on our new house. Well we had to sell our old house. The market like it was, we had to do something quick. So we did an owner finance. Long story short she hasn't paid us since Jan of this year! That is 6 payments! And during all this my hubby was put on furlow, so needless to say paying for 2 houses and trying to keep our head above water has been tricky! God has been very good to us though! When times were so tight, we didn't know what we were going to do, we just prayed our lil hearts out! And something (God) would always come through for us! It was just too weird and couldn't be coincidental! So fast forward to today! I drive by our old house every day looking to see if the lady is out of our house or not. She had 3 of those Pod things in the yard. Last Tuesday she took one of them off the property, today they were ALL GONE!!! OMG!!! I called my hubby!!! I went home, got changed, loaded up some drinks, my girls, our trailor and headed over to the old house!!! We loaded up rocks and things we had left behind the 1st time. Boy it sure felt weird going back into our old house. Knowing someone else lived there. I had one melt down and started crying. I have so many memories there, my craft room, trees we planted (some she cut down). My FIL passed away in 03 and there are trees there that he planted for us that are so big now. There there are our kids trees. We planted a crepe mertle 1 for each of our 6 kids. The are ginormous! The good news is that we are doing a quick cash buy out with a our realator and will be out from under that whole nightmare at least by the end of this month! We are not making much, but we are going to walk away with some $ in our pocket and be able to breath again! Woo hoo!
Well, thanks for checking in on me! I have to go get some sleep! I have work early in the morning! They are working me almost 38 hours this week! It is inventory week!

Well this past week hubby was on furlow again. I don't like the part of not being paid, but he likes the time off to get stuff done! I came home from work and he had a suprize for me! This shelf! I think he has to move it up some for the curtains to hang right.

We painted our bathroom a pale blue, but now I don't like it! Just doesn't seem to go with the them of the house! I was trying to think outside the box! Hubby confessed that he wasn't that thrilled about it either. So after all the painting, we have to do it again! I like the color that is on my stairway, so that will most likely be our next color. I want to make it a primitive bathroom! So starting again from scratch! lol Still need curtains too! I am off tomorrow and got off work early today, so maybe I can get stuff done! If you don't know what mud bugs are, it is crawfish! After having my chemo treatments last year I went to a friends house and I actually ate them and liked them. Well I thought I would give it another try this weekend, not so much! lol Guess my tastebuds went back the way they were before! lol I took a pic of them too! Gross I know!

We had such a great time, met some more of our neighbors! One lady there thinks her mom knows one of my friends from Primmart! Still need to email her and find out! Small world, huh?

She was the biggest one there! She gained 25lbs!!! I am sooo proud of my daughter! She has been taking such good care of her! Getting up every morning at 5am and feeding her, getting home from school and walking and feeding her!

My LION! LOL My hubby shaved my cat the day before convention! Don't worry he loves his new look! He is going to be so much cooler this summer too! He just layed there and let him cut him! I also am including a before pic too! Our cutters broke before we could do our Pomeranian! So we need to get a new pair!

Good evening! I finally have a moment to add some pics of my trip to Pa!
OMGosh! I can't even begin to tell you how much fun it was! It was so great seeing familiar faces and some new ones too! I miss them soo much!
These pics are pics from our meet n greet night! I was the last one to show up! Due to me missing my flight! ughh!

Saturday we went antiquing! OMG!!! I was in heaven! The prices were sooo good too! I just needed a Uhaul to get it all home! hehehe On the way there we passed a covered bridge! I just had to snap a pic!

At one of the lil shops we went to she decorated her place up sooo cute! I just loved how she did her lil signs in the gardens! She used rebar and chunky pieces of wood!

Sunday we went to the flea market. Apparently it is inside an old amusement park! There was an old wooden rollercoaster and even a mushroom! This is where I found some awsome deals!!! I still don't know how I got everything home on my flight! I even got a watering can for $6!!!

I wanted to pop on and say Happy Mother's day to everyone! I am missing my mom, but she is in my heart.
Things are busy here, as usual! With work and all!
Friday I am leaving to go to Pa. to see my Primmart friends! What is Primmart? It is an online group of women, and some men, who share their lives, crafts, families and hearts with me and over 2,000 other women! Many are crafters, painters, and doll makers, but there are some that just like to look, shop and buy!
I owe these gurls so much! Last year when I was diagnosed with my cancer, they lifted my spirits, prayed, called and emailed me so I wouldn't give up! Every day was like Christmas! They sent cards, letters, dolls lil gifts and even a laptop! WOW! I don't know what I would of done with out them! This year things are so tight, as with everyone, but my hubby made sure I was able to go and be with my friends to personally thank them for all they did for me,... us!
I have been working on things for them and thinking of what I am going to wear. My stomache flips when I think it is almost here! I hate flying, but once I get there it will all be worth it!

New fur Baby! And fur baby pics!

We have lost our minds! My BIL had a baby in Feb and felt they had no time for their fur baby. So they wanted to find her a new home. I absolutely love Boston Terriers! We had one years back and lost her to diabetes. I sure miss her! Well, when I heard that he wanted to find his a new home I gave my hubby the puppy dog eyes and said PWEEEEEEZE???!!!! Then my gurls worked on him too! I knew he wanted her, but was giving us a hard time! lol So Thursday after my dentist appt., hair appt. he went and got her!!! OMG! She is such a bundle of energy! My pom is the one that took to her right away. My bulldog was indifferent, but my chi & weinie dog couldn't stand her! Well it has been 2 days now and they are all playing together! I tried to get a pic of all 5 of them together! Do you know how hard that is? LOL I only got 4 of them! My pom is the only one we bought. All the others have been rescued or given to us! Yes even the bulldog! I just love them! Here are some pics!

Good evening! Wow! Things sure have been busy here! I am sure it is like that for you too!
After working 6 days back to back, what do I get to do on my day off? Sit at the dentists’ office! I am sooo impatient and hate to wait! Ughhhh! I need a lot of work done, but for now it is going to have to wait! Thursday I was off and today I had to work. But I am off Saturday! Yippee! My daughter is in FFA and we are going to pick up her sheep! I can’t wait!
Ok back to yesterday! I got my hair cut!!! This was my 1st official hair cut since my hair started growing in!!! I have mixed feelings about it because I had lil curls in the back! I have never had naturally curly hair! It has always been straight as a board! So now it is all gone! Here is a pic! Let me know what ya think!

While I was at work today, my hubby painted our bed! He made this a while back when we got the new mattress. It is made from an old door. I just love it! He painted it black, but you can see the old wood and color showing through!
I have 2 different comforters. I was going to try and do a more mod look, but everyone says that it just doesn't match our house! Oh well! At least I got both of them for a very good price at Kohls! I think the patchwork quilt, I only paid like $22 for! And it is a king size and came with lil throw pillows and shams!
So anyway here are both looks!

Oh and I have been wanting to show this to yall for a while now! I bought this at a lil antique shop on the way home from Austin back in Jan.! It is an antique corn husker or shucker with the whole display! Your not going to believe the price! $48! I couldn't believe it! My hubby added the star on the front!

And here is a transom that we picked up back in Feb. when we got the door for our head board. My hubby left the chippy paint, but did use a lil wood glue to put it back together. I still need to paint the bottom shelf and the crown molding. So much to do and so lil time to do it! They have really been working me to death at Kohls!

I still am not done with it yet though as far as decorating. I want to add pip berries and lights and of course more stars! hehehe

Test results! 3 month check up

I have good news and bad news! The good news is that my tests came back PERFECT! They can't find any cancer! They are still showing something on my left ovary, but it hasn't grown or changed. They think it is a cyst. No biggie! I have graduated also! Instead of going every 3 months I now go every 4 months! I was hoping it would be 6 months, but I am kinda glad there won't be that long of a stretch between visits. That way they can stay on top of any changes.
Now for the bad news. Not sure if you have heard of Furlow, I hadn't until hubby came home and told me. His job has been doing lay offs, cutting the fat, the ones that complained or lazy bad work habits ect. Well they don't want to cut any more people. So they offered a furlow. What this means is one week a month everyone will not work and not get paid. But what they did to help us out was work with the state by allowing the workers to file for unemployment for that week. So my hubby won't be getting his full check, but hopefully they won't take out as much in taxes, then with the unemployment check it will offset it and won't be that bad.
Another bit of good news is that I have been getting over 30 hours a week at Kohl's. So this is really helping. Not sure if I posted here on my blog before or not, but we did an owner finance on our old house (nightmare!) and she hasn't paid us in almost 4 months! So we have been dealing with 2 house notes and ins. too for the past 3 months. God got me through cancer and I know he will get us through this too! I just keep praying. In fact on the way to work, after hubby told me about the furlow, I was praying for God to help us. I got to work was telling one of my bosses about the situation, the next thing ya know my other boss (the one that does the schedules) called my phone and asked me if I would like to work Sunday! WOW! God works fast huh? So that is 6 extra hours! Next week I was supposed to have off 3 days, that was the 1st time in a while, but now I have 2 days off. Oh well! A girl's got to do what a girl's got to do! hehehe
So that is why I haven't been able to post much.
Back a few weeks ago, hubby n me got out and played around with a flowerbed. I bought some flower seeds and they are popping up! I need to run out and snap some pics. We put some of my antiques out there. Like my lil shopping basket and lil wagon. I can't wait to see the flowers bloom! Be looking for pics. I will try and get some before I go to work today at 1pm.

I have been reading all the blogs and trying to catch up! Tuesday I was off and decided to take my projects outside to stuff while hubby mowed the yard. Well, 3 hours later, I was sunburned! Of course the next day I had to work a 9 hour shift! That was horrible! I am so crispy fried! I will have to take pics tomorrow of how bad it is! I know I know! I should of worn sunblock! Ughhh!
Anyway, Easter we went to my Brother in laws house. Had a great time! Then we went to my nieces future FIL's house. He has 150 goats! They were so cute! There were a lot that were born that week! There was only 1 lil black n white one! That was my fav! Sooo adorable! There was also a lil tiny one in the barn that nibbled my ear! Here are some pics

Hidden Treasure!

I have been meaning to share this with ya! This is an old crock that my hubby purchased for me years back. It was painted yellow. I hated it! Well since moving to our new home, it was put into our storage building. A while back I had come across it and noticed blue stripes peeking out from behind the yellow paint. I asked my hubby if he had any acetone to take off the paint. He didn't, so the next trip to Home Depot he bought some. This was to become his next project! When he finally got all the yellow paint off I was soooo excited to see it! I finally had an old crock!!! Well I already did, but just didn't know it!!!

16 yrs Today

Today is a sad, but happy day. My mom passed away from melanoma cancer. I am happy that she is in a better place and no more pain. I still miss her laugh and her lil smile. I feel her with me almost on a daily basis. I wished she were still here with me, as she was where I got my creative side from. I wished she had gone to MD Anderson and gotten cured of her cancer. She was only 43. That is so scary because I will be 41 this year and have already had my brush with cancer. They say time heals all wounds, but the hurt doesn't go away.

Tornados touched down!

all around us last night! There were tornado warnings, but just before they hit here, it knocked out our satelite! Hubby was checking outside and opened our front door and the wind was blowing so hard he had a hard time shutting the door. He told the girls to come downstairs. The temp dropped here from 70's to 40's so quick. Our swing he just put up not long ago was blown into the woods edge. Our shutter on the front of our house was blown off and unrepairable and an oak tree was blown over by our pond. This we actually got more damage than Ike this time. Other than we lost more trees during Ike. Then after it was all said and done, at about 12am we lost power for 2 1/2 hours! Felt like Ike all over again! I have to go to work, but I took some pics. I haven't heard the news yet as to what damage it caused in our area.
It was scary because it was dark and you couldn't see what was going on.

Going Green, What have you done?

I noticed on another bloggers’ page that March 28 is Earth Hour. You ask “What is Earth Hour?” World wide everyone is participating (hopefully) turning off their power for 1 hour @ 8:30 pm! If everyone does this, can you imagine how much this will help Mother Earth? Save this graphic to put on your blog, or do what I did, I have it tiled on my desk top to remind me! Please help spread the word! This is next Saturday! Light a candle, spend some time with your family! All while saving the planet!
Everyone is going green! Including me! I wished we had the mandatory separate your garbage here. That way everything would be recycled. I have been guilty of buy those big packs of styrofoam plates from Wallyworld. Well, we just used up the last of them! If I buy any kind of disposable plates, it will be the cheapy paper ones. They are more biodegradable. I don’t buy them unless necessary. I have been using the old fashioned glass plates!
Oh speaking of glass, I want to throw this out to you too! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!!!! DO NOT PUT PLASTIC BOWLS INTO THE MICROWAVE! As a cancer survivor I have been reading up on things that possibly cause cancer. MD Anderson seems to believe there is a link between using plastic bowls in the microwave and cancer! So this is another thing I have changed with my family. My girls are telling their friends too! So maybe it will domino and may just save one life! Oh and another thing on plastic, DON’T put the water bottles in the freezer! The cold does something to the plastic molecular structure and is bad for you also, as it gets into your water. Sorry to have gone off subject here! LOL But speaking of water bottles, since going back to work I use them. Well Kohl’s used to have a water service and have a water cooler in the break room. Well they are going GREEN too! They cancelled their service and installed an ionic water purifier. The water isn’t cold coming out, but hey it is purified! So instead of having to bring 2 water bottles, I just refill mine, pop it in the fridge and it is cold for my next break.
I have been saving the cardboard boxes, like cereal, paper towel and TP tubes ect. and taking them to be recycled.
Also, MAN has taken so much from the wildlife from all the clearing of trees and pollution ect. When I clean out my fridge I take out the leftovers to the animals. I can’t stand to waste food. What my family doesn’t want, a lil raccoon would love to have! I am guilty of not buying those bags that you bring to stores so that you don’t use more plastic bags. I do hope to buy some soon though.
If we all pitch in we can make this world a better place!

New birdfeeders/houses hubby made for me! Lately there has been no over time for my hubby. So he has a lot of time on his hands! He has only been working 3 days a week. Which has been a nice break for him. He has gotten a lot of stuff finished around the house while I worked.

These are the fence feeders as I call em! We already have a pair of bluebirds making a nest in one of the houses!

And speaking of feeders! Look what I did with an old child's swing and old collandar! I use it for bird food! :)

And speaking of swings! Hubby bought this before Thanksgiving and it has been sitting in the box all this time until last week! We still want to do something different with it. But for now it will be here.

I can't remember if I showed anyone this gate and horseshoe arch above it, so here it is! The birds love to sit on it!

My hubby and I have been arguing over the color of our lamp poles. I wanted to keep them black, but he won! He painted them white! And you know what? I am glad he won! They look so much better now! tee hee Don't tell him I said so! LOL

Oh and last year I bought some star brackets on ebay. We used them as corbels. They ended up being a lil smaller than we pictured, so my hubby had the same idea as I did! Beef them up with some wood! So here they are! I love them!

Oh and we have about 90% of our land cleared. Well the part we want done anyway! And thanks to hurricane Ike taking out some trees too here is what our property looks like now. We want our barn to go somewhere in here. Still undecided. You see my Magnolia tree? Our property has 2 of them on it! I love them!

Oh and one more thing! I had some ZZ Top tickets (3) for the Houston Rodeo on ebay! I am flipping out! I started them at $50, well last night they ended at $192!!! This will really help our family right now as the person that is in our old house is behind 2 months (we did an owner finance) on the payments. So we have been footing the note for 2 houses plus she is trying to sue us for drawing up the wrong papers for our contract last year! This has been a nightmare! So now we had to hire an attourney! Fun huh?

One year ago today!

Exactly one year ago today I had signed papers on our new house, later that afternoon I found out that I had Lymphoma! What a year it has been! Now CANCER FREEE! MD Anderson ROCKS! But I know it wasn’t just them that saved me! It was all the out pouring of love and prayers from friends across the globe! I just couldn’t imagine so many people actually took time out of their busy schedules to pray for me! There were people that told their churches about me and they put me on the prayer list. It was just the most amazing thing I have ever gone through! I don’t think of my cancer as a bad thing. Not at all! In fact it was the best thing that could have happened to me! It brought my family closer together, and a new found appreciation for each other! During my whole treatment I didn’t feel afraid, I felt like a huge blanket had been wrapped around me. It wasn’t until my cancer was gone that I felt scared. I thought I would be forgotten and people weren’t going to be praying for me still, like someone snatched my blanket away. I know different now though! Many have told me they keep me in their thoughts and prayers. I have had 2- 3 month check ups and both were good! No more cancer cells to be found! I have gone back to work in November 08 at Kohl’s. I love working there! They feel like a 2nd family to me. I just wished I had more time off to craft! That keeps me sane! I wished I could clone myself and let Nutt stay home to sew! Hehehehe
I really love our new house so much! We have done so many changes to it to make it our own. Our latest endeavor is new beds! My hubby is so sweet! He made our head board for our bed from an old door. I still need to paint it. He made our youngest daughter a queen sized bed with huge drawers under the bed on either sides (still need to paint this too!). And last omgosh my middle daughter had the most odd room in the house. Her closet was huge with an octagon window in it. Just weird! So we tore out most of that wall and made an arch, put 2 pot lights inside the arch and made her a built in bed where her closet used to be! Then he added a closet on the outside wall! She loves hello kitty stuff, so I ordered her a blanket that is just perfect! It is the recycle hello kitty! Anyway here is a pic of her and her room! Can you tell what her fav color is? lol

Went Junking and have the flu! Ughh!

Well this just never happens! Since going back to work at Kohl's I haven't had many days off. Well this weekend it fell that I was off Fri Sat and Sun! Those are the the days my hubby works. So what does he do? He took vacation so we could do things together! Friday we got up early to go junking (AKA antiquing). Well I was just starting to feel bad, and as the day went on I just got worse. We did manage to hit a few antique shops. I got some really neat stuff! One thing that was my absolute fav was a shopping cart!!! I had to argue with hubby over that one! But I won! It was only..... ready for this? 5 DOLLARS!!! I have been wanting one FOREVER!!!

That was my 1st score!
Next we went to Crosby to these 4 lil antique shops all in a row.
I got the cutest lil ladder for $14!

I found the cutest lil blue wooden chair also! Along with an iron wall basket planter thingy! And if you look in the basket you will see the miniature horse hames (bridal thing and bit). I think the chair was $5, the basket was $14, and the horse thing was $15!

Oh I also got this big galvanized chicken waterer thing. It was the highest amount I spent on something. It was $25, but I love it. I didn't get a pic of it yet, I will have to take one tomorrow and post.

Our last stop was this door place. They install doors and have the old ones on the property that they take out. I was on the hunt for one for our headboard. The very 1st one is the one we ended up getting. Then we also found an iron gate, not sure what we are going to do with it yet, but I liked it. And my most fav thing we found there was a huge transum (sp?) half round window! lol I got all 3 of them for $60! Wooo hoo!

Well nuts!!! I need to get a pic of the door that will be our future headboard. Guess I will do that tomorrow!
I need to get back to bed! I have been running 102 fever. The dr called me in a RX. It seems to be helping, but I just have no energy, but my mind is racing wanting to do so much on my days off, but doesn't look like I will get it done. I feel so sorry for my hubby. He was really looking forward to doing stuff with me.

Cancer Free and 15 yr anniversary! :)

Good morning! I am sorry it has been so long since I did an update! So much has gone on with me this month! January started out pretty bad but finished off pretty good!
I have been working a lot at Kohl’s had 2 court dates (with my ex for child support). I won! And this past month I have been working on our taxes. Got them done, filed for rapid refund, but was denied. A lot of people we know were too. Don’t know what is up with that, but they said it was going to take 5-10 business days to process. So we are waiting on that still. Then my Grandmother passed away Jan 8 so I had a wake and funeral to go to. The 15th I had my cancer re-staging and pet scan. Then on the 16th my lil chi had puppies! Yesterday was my blood work and test results….. CANCER FREE! Then to top it off it was our 15 yr anniversary! Woo hoo! So things are looking up! Crossing my fingers!

Grandmother passed away today 1-08-09

Well this year has already been sucky! Sorry! I just can't believe my Grandmother passed away! It started this morning at 4am. I got a call from my niece saying that grandma had died. I was so disoriented I couldn't even think straight. Then sat up in bed and realized what was going on. My grandmother had took care of her mom for 15 years as she had alzheimers...Because of the stress and overload, she developed Sarcoidosis. It caused her body to attack itself...There is no cure for it but it is treatable....It attacks the lymph nodes...It has attacked her lungs...she was on oxygen 24/7 and taking steroids. They think she had a heart attack. She was my step grandmother, but the only one I had known as my real grandmother passed away before I was born. She was 20yrs younger than my grandfather, who has been battling cancer for the past couple of years. So it was a shock to find out she passed before him. She was more like a 2nd mom to me than a grandmother. I am still in shock. Just yesterday, I was talking to a co-worker about all the junk going on with me this month and asked her "how much more could I take?" Then this happens. I don't think I will ask again. I have my court case Monday with my ex and then the 15 I have my cancer restaging. This will be my 2nd 3 month check up.
I don't know how much more bad news I can take this year.

Good morning! I have a few minutes before I have to start getting ready for work this moring so I wanted to post some pics! This is a pic of our house with SNOW on the roof!!! OMG! It was sooo awsome to see snow this year! Our 1st year in our house and already we went through Hurricane Ike and now snow!

While driving to work I saw these guys on the side of the road. Hubby went back and took the pic for me!

Monday when I got home from work, I came home to the most awsome package!!! It was the Primmart 2008 ornie swap!!! OMG!!! I wanted to just bawl like a big ol baby! I didn't sign up for the swap because that was when I had been going through my chemo treatments and was too weak to sew. This is the 1st year I have missed out on it. I believe I have been in the past 5 ornie swaps! So this is something very special to me!
I ran to the phone and called Mari! She is such a sweetie! She added so many extra goodies in there as well! My hubby said he loves her when he saw the dips! LOL I still need to hop on PM and thank everyone personally. I will be off Thur (tomorrow). So I can do some more updates.
Here is a pic of my goodies. I will be taking some pics, maybe a video of our Christmas tree tomorrow.

Oh and Miss Judy, (ya lil stinker!) sent me an awsome box yesterday! Everything was wrapped, so I called her and asked her if she wanted me to wait till Christmas to open everything. She said it was up to me! So I wonder if I am going to be a good girl or not? hmmmmm I want to dig in so bad! LOL hehehe
Well that is about it for now. I have to go get ready for work.

Elf Yourself!

Hi all! I wanted to pop in and say hi and thank you for visiting my blog! I wanted to get something I have been working on listed on ebay today, but family came 1st today! I started my day shopping at the place I work... Kohl's! Then picked up my daughter Angel from her friends house. Then back home and locked myself in my bedroom! Once in there I spent the next 4 hours in a sea of boxes and clothes and gifts! Wow! I sure hope my gurls love their gifts! I feel very blessed to be able to afford Christmas this year with all that has happened to us this year and now the people that are in our old house aren't paying their mortgage. Fun stuff, huh? Ok enough of the yucky stuff!
Can you believe it is Christmas? I don't want it to be here and gone! I want Christmas to last at least another month! I have tons of ideas that I still haven't got to paper yet! And OMGosh!!! The most amazing thing happened the other day on my way home from work.... SNOW!!!! Yes SNOW!!! I know some of you up north are thinking what is so special about that? Well here in my neck of the woods it only snows about every 10 years. In fact when I got to my job the next morning someone built a snowman in the parking lot! I just had to jump out and take a pic of him then with him! It was on my phone, still not sure how to put those onto my puter yet. I have lots of pics to share, but not enough time tonight to get them uploaded. I have to be at work at 7am!
Today we finally got our tree too! I am sooooo excited! For years now, I have wanted to put my primitive handmade ornies on our family tree. Well hubby has always said no. Well since packing up our old house to the new house, we can find our other ornaments. So I suggested we just use my prim ones. He said ok! Hehehehe Well, let me tell you, my tree is PACKED with ornies! OMG!!! It is so precious to me! Each one is so special and made with love from my prim sistas! It is soooo pretty! Again, I will have to post pics! After I got it all done, my hubby looked at it and said that it was better than any other tree we have put up! hahaha I tried to tell him!!! Even my gurls said that this was their favorite! I am just so happy! I can't wait to show it off!
Oh yeah my hubby is making a custom light for our kitchen. Right now we need to add more lights to it or something because it still doesn't seem to bright, but I love how it looks so far! Will have to add pics of that too!

15 hour work day!

WOW! What a day!!! Yesterday I had to work 8 1/2 hours (at Kohl's) then rush home to finish up some dolls for our AB4B group launch! That was another 6 1/2 hours to get the pics taken, uploaded and into our group launch template! I don't remember hitting the pillow! I fell asleep on the couch! I have been working on these dolls for the past week or so. Here is a cute pic I took of them while they were drying!

Good evening all! I wanted to send out a personal video message from our family from today! I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving! I know we did! This year I have sooo much to be thankful for! Beating this rare cancer of mine was just a small thing to be thankful for, compared to all the wonderful friendships I have made across the world! I feel blessed to have so many people that care for lil ol me. I just can't say enough! I have included a link to a video of us outside our home. We had Thanksgiving at our house this year. We had 32 people!!! And still had food leftover! If you can believe that! No turkey or ham though! :( Darn it! Confession!

I have a secret! Last Monday (Nov 10) I went back to my old job! It was only 3 hours training, but boy was it good to be back! I got sooo many hugs and well wishes! I am going to miss being at home, but the extra $ will be nice! In case you didn't know I worked at Kohls! I just love that store! I spent so much $ there on my gurls, I figured I may as well work there and get a discount and be paid too! lol It is only part time, so I may have time to do some dolls here and there. I got my schedule and I will be working almost 30 hours this next week! I hope my feet can handle it!
I have so much to share with you! A lot has been happening at our house! As some of yall know, we bought our new house this year. Well the colors and decor just weren't our style, so we have been making some changes.
1st off, our master bathroom! It was all white, with blue tiles in the shower, ugly light fixture and blue counter top. It will be a while until we redo the shower, but we decided to do a few improvements.
The tub was outdated, so I came up with an idea to give it a fresh look. Pretty inexpensive!

Next we had to decide on a color. As much as I have been fighting all the BLUE in this house, I went with a pretty light blue! It really pops against the white! So our colors are going to be blue white with black accents! When we went for the paint, I found a cool chandelier! We still aren't finished painting, but here is a pic so far. Oh we also added a partial wall above the tub too!

We are trying to get our house ready for company coming for Thanksgiving! So we have really been busy!
We finally decided on a color for our stairs, so here are some pics of that

We also got a new light for our kitchen too! And speaking of kitchen! When we put up this border, we were 1 roll short! So I finally ordered more and got that hung now. We still have to put the bottom trim up, but it is nearly done!

We have always wanted to have a pond in our yard with an island in the center. Well Robert has a way of always making my dreams come true, just didn't think it would be this fast! Gosh I love him!

The weather here has changed since these pics were taken. We got a LOT of rain! So much, that our pond is FULL of water! Good thing we got it dug in time!
It is now cold outside and this is my 1st house with a fireplace!!! I am so excited! This is the 1st time I made my very own fire! I am such a big gurl now! hehehe

We have one more project going on, but it is going to be a surprise! I will share pics soon. We haven't started yet!

I didn't have curls before chemo, well I did, but it was a perm! I have no idea how to style short hair! Never had it this short, but I am learning! lol

On a sad note, my oldest daughter broke up with her bf. I have been in a funk all day today. I feel the hurt I guess. Oh and today (16th) is my son's birthday. Colton, the one that moved out and went to live with his dad. I miss him so much. I wished we could be close again. I love him so much.
My middle daughter Angel, her birthday was Friday. She is 14! Wow! How fast they grow up!
Well I need to get myself to bed! After all I do have to go to work tomorrow!

3 month check up!

Well I had my 3 month check up and I am CANCER FREE! I can finally go back to work! I call my old job Kohls and they said they would love to have me back! I am just so tickled!
I have one more loose end to tie before taking that plunge again. I have a court date for my oldest daughter and getting her Child support resumed. I have to go in the morning at 9am. I just had a meeting this morning with our attourney. I just want to get this over with.
On a happier note, I have been crafting again and it feels so good to be back doing what I love! We have also been clearing our property so that we can get our barn started for horses and also my daughter is in FFA and she plans on getting a sheep or lamb.
Oh and we have another member added to our family! No I didn't have a baby! LOL We had this lil chihuahua come up in our yard. She was so timid and scared. Well my youngest daughter winning her friendship and now she follows us all over the yard! Last night we bought her a lil jacket and bed. It is getting so cold outside the past couple of nights. She looks so cute! I will have to snap a pic of her sporting her new coat! lol So now we have 4 dogs, a bird, ferrett, 2 cats and 2 tanks of fish! I think we are starting to look like a zoo around here! LOL
Things have been so busy around her lately. My oldest daughter had homecoming and my youngest daughter went to a dress to impress bday party. I had forgot to update my blog, so I will do that now. Here is my oldest daughter

Hi gurls!
I survived Ike! 8 days w/o electricity was awful! No water, no generator. My daughter nearly started crying when it came on! I have my laundry all caught up and nice hot shower! The power came back on Sat. evening!

We took before and after pics of our property. We were so blessed that there was no damage to our house or family. The only thing that happened was a shutter was crooked! Which my hubby quickly fixed!

Then my daughter had to be rushed to the er for her leg. 10 stitches later...

Then Sat. Mya (our bulldog) walked outside to go potty and stepped on a copperhead snake. We weren't sure if she got bit or not, then the swelling started and she started getting sick. So off to the er vet she went!

When we didn't have power, we tried to do things that didn't require power to keep our sanity.
So I got to go dig in our storage barn and I dug out all kinds of goodies to decorate my porch! I still need to paint the shelf thing. Let me know what yall think!

After 6yrs I finally finished painting my milk can!

1st off let me say I have finally got on the BLOG WAGON!
I hope that I am doing this right!
2nd I am happy to say we survived Ike! Last night after 8 days with no power or generator, we have power again! We lost prime on our water well, so that meant no shower still, but we had AC! I have tons of pics to upload and share. We feel very lucky and blessed that nothing serious happened to our family or home. So many we know lost their homes. We did have an ER trip with my middle daughter. With out power, my hubby sent us to our middle son's apt (he never lost power). We were there all of about 30 min. and my daughter had caught her leg on his "gaming chair". Her skin ripped like you would fabric. I nearly passed out. So off to the ER we went. I was really impressed with the hosp. It was running on 1/2 power and we were only there for 3 hours. Which I didn't think was too bad. Ten stitches later, we headed back to his apt. My MIL finished dinner while we were gone and I finally got a glass of tea and a hot bath! I fell asleep in there for 2 hours! We stayed there 2 nights, then decided to go back home since we had a cold front come through. My hubby didn't want us to leave! I think he missed us! hehehe
We did things out in the yard which required no electricity. From picking up branches to our flowerbeds. I even got to go digging through our storage barn! Something I have been wanting to do since we moved to our new home! All my goodies were way in the back and I was itching to get them out. So reluctantly my hubby helped me! I put out some of my antiques and decorated my porch. I will have to take pics of that and post them! I even painted an old milk can that I had started about 6 yrs ago! I finally finished it! I need to take a pic of that too!
This morning my hubby and I finally got our well primed! So, we are just waiting for the hot water heater to do it's job!
