Houson Aquarium pics!

Here are some pics from the Houston Aquarium! I highly recommend this place! It is awsome! We had so much fun! There was so much to do! Train ride, carosel, ferris wheel, canival games, dining, rides, tigers, aquariums! We had a blast!

4 month check up! And GOOD NEWS!

Hi all! I know it has been a while since my last post, but lots of stuff going on lately. I went for my 4 month check up and today I got the results back... NO CANCER! I am just so excited! I wanted to run out of that hospital! So I don't have to go back for 4 months!
School will be starting in 2 weeks and we have been so busy working that we haven't had time to take a family vacation. So I requested off for the past 2 weekends and we have been having fun!
They have been talking about "Stay-cations" on the radio because of the times and $$$. You just do things locally instead of traveling to different states. So I looked online and found Houston City Passes. You get 6 attractions for $39 plus $1 processing fee per person. They were good until Oct, but once you use the 1st attaction it starts your 9 day period to use them all.
The attractions were Space Center Houston, Downtown Aquarium, Hou. Museum of Natural Science, Houston zoo, Museum of fine arts or Children' museum, George Ranch park or Health museum.
Well we only were able to do the zoo, space center, museum of natural science, and aquarium, but we did have fun!

Black light miniature golf!

OMGosh! I found the neatest miniature put put golf place! I was searching yellowpages.com looking for one, and found this one! It had a link to their website. I had never even heard about the place before! It was toooo cool! I will just let the pics do the talking.

We almost didn't do this next thing! I am so glad we did now!!! We had to shoot these foam balls at each other witht these air cannon things! It was a blast and quite a work out for only 8 minutes!

Sorry for my absense

I had to take a break from blogging. Every time I came to post a new post I would see my last post about Mya and break down crying. So here I am today pushing forward. I have had lots going on in my life. My dad passed away on the 15th of cancer, but don't be too sad for him. He did some not so nice things to my daughters and even hit my grandmother the day they took him to the hospice. I hate that side of him, but miss the funny charming guy that I knew, before the truth was known. I will leave it at that. I have cried my eyes out.
Good is always out there and there was good that came of this too! I have know for some time now that I had a 1/2 sister named Kaitlin that was not much older than my own daughter Katelynn. I asked family members about her and they wouldn't tell me the mom's name or give any info for fear of my dad's temper. He didn't want any of us to have anything to do with her. And that's not all! I have a 1/2 brother Jeffrey, same story. No one was allowed to have any contact with his mom. He is only 12 yrs old! Well my aunt (dads sister) gave me the missing links I needed! She had found both moms on facebook! I contacted both not knowing what kind of response I was going to get! OMG! Dale (Kaitlins mom) is such a sweetheart! And Jackie I have met years back and she is a sweety too! Just when I thought my family was getting smaller... Poof it just got larger! lol Here are some pics of my new family!

Here is the old dad I knew. I was actually pregnant with my middle daughter Angel! We were going to his Night's of Columbus formal. Not really sure what they do, it is all top secret. They aren't allowed to say anything to anyone as to what goes on at the meetings. Just weird! Oh well, I guess I will never know now!

Tribute to my Bully Mya RIP 6-24-09

Hi blogging friends. Wen. morning I posted pics of my minis I created, and was off to work. It has been sooo dry and hot here with temps in the 100's. We don't leave our fur babies outside too long, they stay inside mostly. Well, Mya was outside and I think she had a heat stroke. I got home that evening around 5:30 or 6pm to find her in the house drooling and panting. My hubby had the fan on her, but it didn't help. I am not sure if she may have had a heat stroke or her cancer returned. I sat there and pet her and scratched her butt. She looked up at me with those human like eyes and I knew she was going to leave me. She died in my arms. I have just been devastated. She was my popcorn, as she used to bounce around when she got excited. Just a silly girl. I will forever miss her. She took with her a huge piece of my heart. I still can't believe she is gone. Sometimes I can still hear her snore.
